Privacy Policy — Mouse Buddy

Effective date: 1 October 2026

Mouse Buddy is a Chrome extension that changes the mouse cursor on websites into a character you choose. This policy explains what the extension and its gallery site do with information.

Information stored on your device

The extension stores these settings in Chrome on your device only:

• The cursor you selected and the cursors you saved
• Cursor size, click sound, and whether animations are on
• Whether a license key has been activated on this browser

Uninstalling Mouse Buddy removes this local storage.

License key

If you paste a license key and choose Save or Activate, that key is sent to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com) only to check that the purchase is valid. Mouse Buddy does not sell the key and does not use it for advertising.

What the extension does not collect

• It does not read the text, passwords, or contents of the pages you visit
• It does not collect browsing history
• It does not collect your location
• It does not download or run code from a remote server. All scripts are inside the extension package

Host access is used only so the cursor you picked can be shown on the pages you open. An alarm runs about once a minute so a puzzle-unlocked cursor can be removed after 24 hours.

Gallery site

If you use the Mouse Buddy website, a click on Add, Puzzle, Unlock, or the Lemon purchase button may be counted so the site owner can see that the product is being used. That record can include the character name, the type of click, and an approximate country based on the connection address. It is not sold and is not used to build an advertising profile.
